Heather Shannon

Heather completed her Masters in Resource and Environmental Planning through Massey University in 2012, while working in the resources consents team at Whangarei District Council. During her three and a half years working on resource consents, Heather processed a range of land use and subdivision applications, including representing the Council at consent hearings. Heather subsequently spent two and a half years in a strategic planning role in the Council’s policy team, doing structure and community planning work, before joining Barker & Associates in 2017. Heather is an Intermediate Member of the New Zealand Planning Institute, and an NZPI Branch Committee member representing the Northland area.
