Resource consent was approved in 2021 under the COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Act 2020 for the demolition of existing buildings in the Special Character Area overlay and redevelopment of the site to accommodate a multi-level, mixed-use development including a 1623m2 supermarket, retail, commercial and 122 residential units, 277 parking and loading.
