Overview
Our policy planners are working with Nelson City Council on the Council’s review of its RMA plans and the development of the new Whakamahere Whakatū Nelson Plan (the Nelson Plan), a unitary plan including the regional policy statement, district plan, regional plan and regional coastal plan. Barker & Associates are responsible for preparing the natural hazards provisions for the Nelson Plan. This role includes section 32 analysis, staff brainstorming sessions, feedback on technical information and reports, preparation of provisions, presentation of the natural hazards topics at Councillor workshops and community engagement. We are working collaboratively with the Nelson Plan team including Council staff, other planning consultants and technical experts.
