Ian Bayliss

Ian has over 20 years of experience as an urban planner, a planning policy manager, planning witness, spatial plan project lead and team manager, working in Queenstown, Auckland, London and Sydney for councils and private sector clients.

Ian has successfully led a range of local government RMA policy development and spatial planning projects, from technical research and workshop phases to consultation, hearings, mediation and hearing of appeals in the court. Ian has extensive contacts and expertise in resource management plan drafting, public engagement, private plan changes, structure plans and resource consent preparation.

Ian is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute (MNZPI) and has a Master of Planning Practise (MPlanPrac) degree from Auckland University.
