Terri has experience across a wide range of development projects, including residential subdivisions, multi-unit and social housing, industrial and commercial developments, and heritage redevelopments. Her work has included projects involving dewatering, contaminated land, stormwater and wastewater management, air discharges and river reclamation, as well as preparing and presenting evidence at hearings. She has processed resource consent applications for a range of councils across Canterbury and the wider South Island, primarily of residential subdivisions, multi-unit housing, or commercial developments.
Her notable projects including student accommodation at the University of Canterbury, the redevelopment of Timaru’s heritage Theatre Royal, and social housing developments throughout the South Island.
With a background in urban design, Terri also brings a design perspective to her planning work. She has prepared urban design assessments for multi-unit residential developments in Christchurch, visitor accommodation in Tekapo, and commercial developments in Rolleston.
Terri is passionate about continuing to broaden her understanding of te ao Māori and is currently studying Te Reo (Reo Rua) Level 2, having completed Te Reo Level 1 and Tikanga (Mātauranga Māori) Level 3. She is an Intermediate Member of the New Zealand Planning Institute and a member of the Resource Management Law Association, with published work in the Resource Management Journal and New Zealand Journal of Environmental Law. Originally from Christchurch, Terri is now based in Darfield.
Outside of work, she enjoys being involved in her local community, whether it be supporting local art initiatives, playing netball, or lending a hand at her local rugby club.
