Commercial Bay

B&A led planning and engagement on Precinct Properties’ Commercial Bay Development project. This included securing all statutory approvals and navigating the project through Auckland’s Urban Design Panel.

The award-winning project is one of the largest private developments ever undertaken in New Zealand’s history and has been a catalyst in helping to increase the vibrancy and vitality of Auckland’s waterfront. The project included construction of a 39-level office building featuring 39,000m² of premium office, a three-level 19,000m² premium retail and hospitality precinct, the InterContinental Auckland Hotel in a refurbished building at 1 Queen Street, and new publicly accessible pedestrian laneways and open spaces. The project was also designed to facilitate integration with the City Rail Link project by incorporating the alignment of twin underground rail tunnels from the Waitematā Rail Station.
