B&A led the planning for the development of New Zealand’s first Ikea. B&A were also involved in extensive engagement with mana whenua and a Transport Working Group which included representative from Auckland Transport and NZ Transport Agency prior to the lodgement of consent documentation.

The development features approximately 34,000m² of retail space in a traditional large format store with Ikea distinctive branding and will showcase the latest design and home furnishing solutions available from the world’s largest home furnishing retailer. The store has been designed to integrate with the adjacent Sylvia Park mall and rail station helping to cement Sylvia Park’s role as a major retail destination in Auckland.
