Central Government National Direction and RMA Plan Making
SECTOR LOCATION B&A staff have contracted into the Ministry for the Environment for several years and have been involved through various roles in the preparation of national direction instruments. Including the RMA natural hazard chapters, the Climate Change Adaptation Bill/Act and natural hazards and climate change national direction.
RPS and Plan Review Natural Hazards and Climate Change Adaptation
SECTOR LOCATION B&A completed a national review of RMA plans relevant to natural hazards, this included hazard identification and risk assessment processes. Hazards included flooding (pluvial and fluvial), landslide, coastal flooding and erosion, earthquake (active faults), liquefaction, tsunami and wildfire. This work supported development of national policy direction.
Support for Local Government across a range of RMA plan making processes

Napier District Plan Review
